Meat Plant Production Operator (Ireland)

Job description: For our client in Ireland, we are currently looking for workers to work in their meat plant. The company is one of Europe’s leading food companies, supplying a range of leading local, national and international supermarkets, food service and manufacturing businesses exporting to more than 50 countries worldwide.

The company is engaged in slaughtering, deboning and processing, preparing and packing meat.

Work in all areas of production – slaughter hall, deboning hall, shipping, cold storage and packing areas. The candidate will be required to work as part of a team, adhere to all health and safety guidelines, maintain cleaning procedures and ensure the manufacturing process is followed correctly to produce the best possible standard product. The production line works at a fast pace to meet production targets on a daily and weekly basis.

You work in the colder environment of the meat plant in different halls depending on the position you are placed in. Employees are required to wear the prescribed footwear, coats, or head and beard/beard covers at all times.

Type of relationship and length of contract:

Full-time, long-term work directly for the Irish Meat Factory

We work 5 days a week, 40 hours.
Shift work may be required if your position requires it.

Gross salary offered:

All workers start at a salary of €11.30/ hour gross. After a while, the possibility of a wage increase based on a reassessment of the quality of the work and the performance of the employee (for production operators and packers approx. up to €13-14/hour, for butchers €15-21/hour – evaluation based on the quantity of processed pieces).

Payments are made every week on Thursday.

Accommodation:

It is provided by the employer, the employee pays approx. €450/month. Accommodation is in furnished houses where everyone has their own room. Accommodation is about 10 minutes by car. If you do not have a car, you will be provided with transportation to and from work (€20/week).
